Learning Targets: Understanding the neuroanatomical and physiological basics of this method; learning simple techniques for quick success.
Methods: Theory. Practical exercises and discussion of case studies. Participants may bring and discuss their own cases.

Freitag, 28.06.2019
8.30 – 13.00 Uhr
[5 UE]

Leitung:
N. Stamer und Mitarbeiter

Contents: Neural therapy is no longer confined to to general and pain medicine. Neural therapy continues to permeate to other specialties such as gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, veterinary, and dental medicine in the treatment of functional disorders and chronic inflammation without clear organic causes. This course provides an introduction into neural therapy for all specialties.
Method: Presentation and discussion of functional disorders in various fields of medicine, effectiveness of LA injections, their rationale and external evidence. Simple skills and techniques will be provided to allow the participant to get out the most of the courses on Saturday.
Language: English; slides presented in English and German.
Target group: Medical specialists without prior knowledge that wish to attend one of the Master Courses on Saturday, 29.06.2019, also as a short refresher for physicians with prior knowledge in neural therapy (attendance of earlier courses, or participants of Basics-2 Course on Thursday, 27.06.2019).

Gynecology for Beginners

Samstag, 29.06.2019
8.30 – 18.30 Uhr

In gynecology and urology, many typical health-related complaints are of vegetative or functional nature. Conditions, such as dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, premenstrual complaints, periodic-dependent back pain, dysuria, chronic cystitis, vaginitis and others, are treated easily using therapy with local anesthetics.
Contents: Introduction to neural therapy for chronic urogenital disorders. Principles of neural therapy from a gynecological perspective. Typical indications and contraindications in gynecology. Procedure for a selected condition. Implementation in outpatient clinics and practices.
Methods: Theory presentation; case studies from practices. Typical injection techniques. Practical exercises.
Objectives: Recognizing indications, developing therapy strategies for chronic diseases in gynecology. Practical implementation in your own field.
Language: English; slides presented in English and German.
Target Group: Physicians of all specialties, working in hospitals or practices, in particular general practitioners, gynecologists, pain therapists. Medical students. NT specialists who want to learn more on NT indications in OB/GYN.

[10 UE]

Leitung:
W. Wotke

Contents: Toothache, facial pain, but no diagnosis – what now? What dental X-rays “say” and what they do not say – a comparison of image and reality. Successful application of neural therapy in dental pain therapy. Possible benefits of dental prophylaxis of traumata.
Methods: Theory presentation; joint screening for functional disorders. Case studies and X-rays with practical exercises. Practical approach to selected conditions. Hands-on exercises for simple pain therapy injection techniques in the orofacial field.
Objectives: Identification, diagnosis, and treatment of unexplained toothache and maxillofacial pain. For pain therapists: significance of the orofacial region for pain and dysfunction in other areas of the human body.
Language: English and German.
Target Group: Dentists, physicians and pain therapists, working in hospitals or practices. Students of medicine or dentistry, also for participants of the Dentistry-1 course in 2018.

Orthopedics II
LBT: Low back pain

Samstag, 29.06.2019
8.30 – 18.30 Uhr
[10 UE]

Leitung:
N. Stamer und Mitarbeiter

Contents: Low back pain (LBP) is an encumbrance to patients, orthopaedics, and pain therapists. In more than 80% no pathological findings in diagnostics can be found. Therefore, LBP often presents as a non-specific, functional disorder of the musculoskeletal system.
Therapy with local anesthetics (TLA, neural therapy) is an excellent extension of manual medicine and osteopathy. Diagnostic and therapeutic injections are effective, efficient and have a low rate of side effects. They can be applied within the area of pain (segmental) and as remote injections (e.g., trigger point injections) as well.
Method: Participants will be trained in diagnostic of functional disorders, pros and cons of LA injections, and safe and effective injection techniques for LBP. Skills and techniques can be applied immediately after finishing this practical-orientated course.
Language: English; slides presented in English and German.
Target Group: Orthopedics, general physicians and pain therapists engaged in LBP therapy, working in hospitals or practices. Medical students are welcome, also for participants of the Orthopedics-1 course in 2018.
