What is Neural Therapy?

Neural Therapy is the application of pure local anesthetics for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. It has been in use since 1884, yet despite its worldwide application there has been little scientific research done regarding its effects. In Germany, Neural Therapy is considered Complementary Medicine, and is a commonly used method (Joos et al. 2009).

Typical Indications are:

  • acute and chronic pain disorders
  • chronic functional disorders
  • mood disorders
  • chronic, recurrent inflammation.
